Baylee

Baylee loves two things—people and Jesus—and she loves them BIG!

She gave her heart to Jesus at just 14 years old, and she’ll tell you that her life has never been the same. From a young age, Baylee knew that God had placed a purpose on her life, and that purpose was to serve.

And when Baylee says “serve,” she means it! She spends her free time volunteering with her church, local nonprofits, and special needs programs. In other words, if there’s a need somewhere, Baylee’s probably already asking, “Okay, what can I do?”

But what makes her story so special is that Baylee knows what it’s like to walk through a valley. She knows what it feels like to be in the dark—and because she’s been there, she has a heart for helping others find their way toward the light.

She doesn’t pretend life is always easy. Instead, she chooses to let God use every part of her story to shine His light into someone else’s.

And that is what I love about Baylee: she understands that being usable by God isn’t about having it all together. It’s about being available.

Her message is simple: Without Jesus, I am nothing. But with Jesus, my life has purpose.

And ladies, isn’t that what Make Me Usable is all about?

So, I want you to put your hands together, make some noise, and give a BIG Make Me Usable welcome to a young woman who is living proof that when you tell God, “Here I am—use me,” He will!

Lisa

Lisa is what happens when you mix marathon grit, choir-director energy, small-town Alabama roots, a little caffeine, and a whole lot of Holy Spirit fire!

She’s the kind of woman who can organize chaos, fix what someone else broke, encourage you when you’re down—and lovingly tell you to “get it together” when you need to hear it!

And when I say Lisa knows how to keep moving, I mean it literally!

She has completed a full marathon—26.2 miles!—along with multiple half-marathons, and she still laces up her shoes and keeps going.

But some of life’s hardest races aren’t run on a track.

Married for more than four decades, Lisa has built a life marked by faithfulness, resilience, and unwavering commitment. Through unexpected challenges and difficult seasons, she has continued to show up with grace, determination, and a steadfast heart.

She’ll tell you she’s not completely sure what her exact calling or role is within Make Me Usable Ministry.

But she knows one thing:

She loves the Lord.

And sometimes being usable doesn’t mean having the whole plan figured out. Sometimes it simply means saying:

“Lord, here I am. I’m available. Use me wherever You need me.”

And isn’t that what Make Me Usable is all about?

People are valuable. Purpose is possible. You are usable.

Lisa reminds us that we don’t always have to know the whole plan. We simply need to be willing to take the next step God puts in front of us.

So get ready to laugh, be encouraged, and be challenged to ask yourself:

“Am I willing to be used by God—even when I don’t know exactly what that looks like?”

Heather

Heather loves being outdoors enjoying God’s creation, spending time with her family, and teaching Sunday school to elementary-aged children. But one of the biggest passions in her heart is missions.

As a member of the Baltimore Avenue COG mission team, Heather has learned that sometimes being the hands and feet of Jesus means stepping outside your comfort zone, meeting people right where they are, and simply being willing to say, “Yes, Lord.”

And I love this about Heather—she understands that ministry isn’t always about standing on a stage or having the perfect words. Sometimes ministry looks like showing up, serving, listening, encouraging, praying, and loving someone right where they are.

Heather believes God can use each of us in ways we may never even realize. Whether she’s working with her hands, helping someone in need, sharing her testimony, praying with someone, or simply being present, her heart is to remain available wherever God leads.

She doesn’t have to know exactly what God is going to ask of her. Her answer is simply:

“Here I am, Lord. Use me.”

And her prayer is that through the way she serves, loves, and lives, people will see Jesus—not because she has it all figured out, but because she is willing to be used in spite of herself.

So, Heather, we’re so glad you’re here.

Ladies, let’s give a big Make Me Usable welcome to Heather!
